Terms of Use

These Terms govern your use of the Bramwell app (“Bramwell”, “the app”), the household memory service provided on your device, and any Bramwell Plus subscription. Bramwell is operated by Cyrill Rousseau, an independent developer (“we”, “us”). By downloading or using Bramwell, you agree to these Terms.
1. What Bramwell does
Bramwell helps you remember where your belongings are. You tell it things in your own words — typed or spoken — or photograph a container, and it stores what you said, on your device, so you can later ask where something is.
2. Your household, your content
- Everything you save in Bramwell — items, places, containers, notes, and photos — is your content. It is stored only on your device and belongs to you.
- You are responsible for the accuracy of what you save and for how you use Bramwell. Bramwell’s understanding of what you said or photographed is a best effort: AI-suggested contents and matches can be wrong. Check anything important — documents, valuables, medication — before relying on it.
- Deleting content is permanent. “Forget everything” in Settings erases every item, place, and photo from the app on your device and cannot be undone. If you want to keep a copy, back up your device through Apple’s standard iCloud or computer backup before deleting.
- Bramwell may keep or improve features that organize and present your content (for example, grouping duplicates or suggesting categories), but Bramwell never sells your content, advertises against it, or makes it public.
3. Free and Plus tiers
- Bramwell Free lets you save up to 50 items and attach photos to up to 5 containers, with voice and text entry, AI parsing, search, browsing, and full editing — for as long as you like, at no charge.
- Bramwell Plus removes those limits and adds premium features, offered as a monthly or annual auto-renewing subscription.
- If you downgrade or your subscription ends, nothing you’ve already saved is taken away or locked: items beyond the free limit and photos beyond the free photo allowance remain fully viewable, searchable, editable, movable, and deletable. Only new additions are paused until you’re back within the free limits or resubscribe.
- We may change the features included in either tier. If a change reduces what the free tier can do, existing saved content remains accessible as described above.
4. Subscriptions and payment
- Bramwell Plus subscriptions are billed through your Apple Account at the price shown at purchase, plus any applicable taxes.
- Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your Apple Account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the period ends.
- You can manage or cancel your subscription anytime in your Apple Account settings (Settings → your name → Subscriptions, or https://apps.apple.com/account/subscriptions). Cancelling stops future renewals; it does not refund the current period.
- Purchases, refunds, and billing disputes are handled by Apple under Apple’s payment terms. Restoring purchases on a new device is available from the paywall’s “Restore Purchases” button.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use Bramwell to store content you have no right to store, including unlawful material or photos of others without a legitimate reason;
- attempt to extract, reverse-engineer, or overload the AI service behind Bramwell, or resell access to it;
- misrepresent Bramwell’s outputs as professional advice.
Bramwell is a household organizer. It is not a legal, financial, medical, or security service.
6. AI processing
Bramwell uses a third-party AI service (a Google Gemini model reached through Rork’s infrastructure) to interpret what you type or say and to read photos taken during a bin scan. Understood results are suggestions for your review — you confirm what Bramwell saves. See the Privacy Policy for exactly what is transmitted and what never leaves your device.
7. Availability and changes
- Bramwell runs primarily on your device, but features that use the AI service need an internet connection and may be unavailable if the service is down. When that happens, Bramwell falls back to basic on-device parsing where it can.
- We may update, change, or discontinue features. If we ever discontinue the app entirely, we will make reasonable efforts to give advance notice so you can export or back up your device data.
- We may update these Terms. Continued use after an update means you accept the updated Terms. Material changes will be surfaced in the app or on the app’s store listing.
8. Disclaimers
Bramwell is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. We do not warrant that Bramwell will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that AI-generated contents, matches, or suggestions will be accurate. Do not rely on Bramwell as the sole record for irreplaceable or critical items.
9. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability to you for any claim arising out of or relating to Bramwell is limited to the greater of the amount you paid for Bramwell Plus in the 12 months before the claim, or USD $50. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of data (including household memories), loss of profits, or the value of items whose location was recorded in the app. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, in which case those limitations apply to the extent permitted.
10. Termination
You can stop using Bramwell at any time by deleting the app. We may suspend or terminate access if you seriously or repeatedly breach these Terms. Sections that should survive termination (your content ownership, disclaimers, liability) do so. Your Apple-handled subscription is separate and is managed in your Apple Account settings.
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Georgia, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except where Apple’s standard licensed application end-user terms apply to your download from the App Store, in which case those terms govern where they say they do.
